Our SRD-V3 packs are an evolution of our popular SRD-V2 line of packs. The cell design and formulation has been improved by using the latest in advanced materials which results is less voltage drop under high amp loads. Made with 100% LCO we believe these to be the most powerful cells on the market to date.
A bigger/heavier pack will have less voltage drop assuming it’s made with the same cells. Most companies offering drag and speed run packs are just using cells that factories are already using for other applications, and they achieve the voltage drop desired by adding cells in parallel. SMC works directly with the factories engineer to design cells at a proper size/weight to optimize voltage drop under load. The size of a cell can improve the voltage drop under the highest amp loads.
To keep the weight as low as possible these are regular softcase packs with a top and bottom G10 protection plate. To lower the resistance these are built with 8AWG wires and come with no connectors. We do offer a selection of connectors that can fit the 8AWG wires.
We are now offering the Amass SH8.0 connectors which are the best 8mm connectors on the market. We offer them in 3 configurations. Black male/ Red female , Red Male/ Black female and black and red females. We recommend using a male and female on the packs as this will prevent reverse voltage connection. Due to the extreme nature of speed runs and drag racing please note there is no warranty on these packs. Each pack is tested prior to shipping to make sure it is free of manufacturing defects.
