Bind-N-Fly Completion Level Advantage

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!

This Bind-N-Fly Basic model is equipped with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver featuring AS3X (Artificial Stabilization–3-aXis) technology that works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence. The result is a heightened sense of stability and precision that makes you feel like you're flying a much larger, expertly tuned aircraft.

If this is your first model of its type, or you want an extra margin of safety while familiarizing yourself with the airplane, you can enable the optional-use SAFE® Select flight envelope protection technology built into the receiver. No programming is required. Simply change up the binding sequence as directed in the manual.

With SAFE Select enabled, you get:

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits

  • These envelope limits keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They also prevent excessive climb or dive angles.

Automatic Self-Leveling

  • The airplane instantly returns to and holds level flight when the sticks are released and in the center position. It's also helpful for keeping the wings level during takeoffs/launches and landings.

Easy Switch Assignment—No Complex Programming Required

  • The simple procedure for assigning a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select features on and off doesn't require any complex programming and takes just a few seconds.

If you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, just bind the receiver normally and it will function like a standard AS3X receiver.

Good Plane But...

This is a really good plane. Good size, plenty of power, affordable batteries and it's pretty tough. Also easy to assemble. However, the landing gear are weak and most of the parts for this plane are back ordered for a long time. If you don't land perfectly the gear bend and you have to bend them back. I wish I could get replacements.

Excellent

I don't understand why anyone would rate a plane they haven't flown yet. I've logged a couple dozen flights and this plane is a lot of fun. The control surfaces have a lot of travel out of the box, even with rates set to low. Maybe an expert 3D pilot wants it like that, but as I'm an intermediate pilot, I adjusted the travel by moving the control Read more about review stating Excellentrods closer to the axis on the servos. With a 45C 14.8V 3300 mAh battery she is fast, and I usually kill the throttle and land deadstick, otherwise she has too much speed at low throttle. She likes short grass or a graded landing strip, especially if you're not experienced landing a tail-dragger. An inexperienced pilot may break the prop and bend the landing gear, but otherwise she's forgiving in the air. Also, you might want to spray a few coats of clear gloss Minwax to seal the paint before flying.

Great plane!

Unboxed, and went together great. It was my first time glueing in a rudder and that went easier than expected. I fly with the 3200mah 4s and it’s balanced good. Plenty of power and I mean plenty! It really flies great from scale to 3D. I’ve had it all season and haven’t had any issues!

Good thing it Flies so Well

The reviews so far must have been paid for. Really, nothing but greatness! Here's my take for what it's worth. I thought I might break the horizontal stabilizer trying to get the screw to line up on one side. Had to remove the screw from the first side in order to get the screw on the other side engaged. Sorry can't remember which side gave me theRead more about review stating Good thing it Flies so Well issue. The four wing screws need considerable persuasion to start and exactly when they are tight enough is vague (hard to feel if they are tight enough). After getting it built and programmed in my transmitters, I was looking it over a bit more closely and noticed what a horrible finish it has. Not the paint which is nice, but the seams in the foam. The top seam is so badly mismatched that I thought it was not even glued together. So overall it has assembly issues and the finish is at best to be viewed from 20' or more. It is otherwise a good flyer, but start with extremely low rates and a ton of expo or you will crash.. I found 35% rate with 45% expo for low rates a good place to start. The control surfaces are huge and it will even be a handful at these low rates. Recommend safe mode for takeoff and landing until you really have a good feel for the plane. E-flight, how about providing PNP versions of all these nice planes so we can install and program our radios with a no safe/gyro position. Please!

Superb! I love it.

This is my new favorite. I would not recommend for beginners any 3D plane, beginners of 3D yes, but not completely new to flying RC. But that being said, it's super stable, fast, and extremely responsive to inputs, so start with very low rates, and work your way up slowly. You do want large 4S batteries like 4500mah inside for longer flight and reRead more about review stating Superb! I love it.asonable CG. The SAFE mode makes take-off and landings super easy and you can switch into stunt mode at altitude where it's safe. I've been able to progress quickly with the features of this plane. It really covers beginner to intermediate. Don't get me wrong this plane is very capable and has wicked throws with oversized control surfaces and 300 extra designs. Crazy fun. Can run 3 or 4 cells. 4 cell battery really lets this plane shine. Overall I love it! I put larger wheels on it so I can fly from grass that is normal to high. It has an awesome presence in the air and very easy to see with the color choice they made
