The fully adjustable wheelbase chassis for the Yokomo YD-2 platform

The Bingo Wasp MAX AWB YD2 chassis is essentially installed the same as the standard Wasp MAX chassis, but you can easily change the wheelbase by loosening 4 screws, sliding the rear chassis to the desired position, and then tightening the screws again. You can fit bodies with a wheelbase of 225mm to 274mm, like the Kyosho Fazer bodies, which typically have a wheelbase of 274mm, or any real-grade bodies with longer or shorter wheelbases than the standard 257mm. With the optional Xtra Long slide plate, you can extend the wheelbase up to 324mm and mount Traxxas 4-Tec bodies which have wheelbases that go up to 300mm!

1. Installation

Installation of the Bingo Wasp MAX AWB chassis is the same as the standard Wasp MAX chassis. See the installation instructions here.

2. Wheelbase Adjustment, Top Stay

To adjust the wheelbase, slightly loosen the two screws on the upper stay as indicated above.

3. Wheelbase Adjustment, Slide Plate

Slightly loosen the two screws, indicated above, on the bottom of the slide plate.

4. Adjust to desired wheelbase

Move the rear plate to the desired wheelbase then tighten the slide screws first, making sure the rear plate is aligned straight with the front plate. Then tighten the upper stay screws, making sure the front and rear plates are level with each other.

5. Enjoy Mounting a wide variety of bodies!

Shown are Kyosho '57 Bel Air Fazer bodies, with a 274mm wheelbase.
